Mk2 vw caddy 1.9tdi 90bhp

Hi there.

Can anyone tell me some ways of getting more power out my Mk2 caddy van.

I'm not sure on engine codes ect and just need pointed in the right direction as such.

Any info would be greatly appreciated

Welcome to VWAF

Depending on the engine, a remap will give you another 20/30 bhp.
Bigger injectors, intake/exhaust modifications, intercooler and so on.

i suspect thats a 1z, same as my 80. i have that upto 118.7 bhp and 245 nm torques with a chip off a guy in poland. they cant be re mapped so you change the chips inside the ecu. but first you need the engine code ...

Where would I find the engine code? I've not got the van yet but fingers crossed it's mine today

either on the timing belt cover or on one of the side panels in the back on a sticker, probably behind the ply lining.

what year is the caddy ?

It's Y registered. A think that's 2001? A might be wrong

ok, theres a choice of 3 it could be then. shame, they also came with the 110 bhp afn lump as well. they fly.

Am sure the boy said it's the 1.9tdi 90bhp engine..
