Audi a4 BLB and BRE difference

Hi there,

Currently I had a problem with my engine (BRE) Audi a4 2.0. tdi. 103kw. The engine needs to be replaced. I found similar engine from audi A6, however its got different code (BLB). Is it big difference between them? Can I still put BLB instead of BRE? Kind regards

Definitely not BLB as it has the double trouble of a chain driven twin Lancaster balancer shafts .

It has to be an 2.0 tdi engine code which as oe has the old style reliable 1.9 tdi chain driven oil pump or a gear driven twin Lancaster balancer shaft that has had the 100mm hex key drive and remanufactured modified balancer shaft #2 done .

Anyway, I just want to know if these two engines are interchangeable. If not, is it any other engine code consimilar to BRE.
