So I'm pondering the spec of my replacement A6 Avant, after the rejection has now been completed on my current A6 ultra.

I'm going for 2.0 quattro sline Avant, and going to spec the following options, tech pack, led lighting pack, Convenience Pack, Audi Smartphone Interface .

I've got an extra few K to spend and looking at options, was thinking about sports seats & Bose. Not bothered about the black edition, as I'm not keen on tints and the 20" wheels.

Was wondering, what the sports seats are like, are they worth the extra £1500. Also looking at the parking park, and again is the advanced version worth the extra £500 over the standard version?

My 2 cents... SuperSport Seats are my no. 1 option. In fact as I couldn't find a 2nd hand car with them specced I ended up plumping for a brand new car.
I find them super comfortable and very supportive. I have a bad back (broke it 3 years ago and chronic pain and stiffness now) but I find long journeys a joy in these.
Another major reason for my specing them is that they sit approx 1 inch lower than the standard sport seats.
As I'm tall I used to find the rear view mirror obstructed my view but seated lower in the SSSs I can view across just below the mirror which is sweet!
I would never spec an A6 without them now!
Go and sit in / test drive an RS6 and you'll get the idea...
    Hope this helps!

Also suffer with a bad back, damaged it years ago. Going to the dealer tomorrow to return my current A6, think I'm going to spend some time there looking at options.

More I think about it the more the seats are going on the list.

I have the supersports seats in lunar silver in my car and find them fantastic. They have received many admiring comments from passengers, who loved the quilted stitching look and in my opinion it takes the interior of the car to the next level. I cannot comment on the advanced parking pack but have found the standard one adequate, though I just have to be super careful when parking not to kerb my lovely 20'' rims.

I have the Supersports seats and I am not impressed. The seat cushion has a hard, sharp front edge that catches the underside of my leg - really uncomfortable on a long journey. If I had my order in again, I would go for the comfort sweats - I tried them (after finalising my order, sadly) and they are fantastic.

But, for me, the car is a motorway mile muncher so comfort is everything.

That is another reason I don't want the 20" rims, I know what my 18" ones have looked like over the years, Mrs B5 is not that best at looking after alloys. Also I'm only buying a 2.0 TDI, and the 20" wheel don't look right with the small brakes (IMO).

... Parking pack advanced (with the top view camera) is the best thing in the world. It's a big car but maneuvering it in tight spaces is a cinch with the top view camera. I have an underground parking space in a small garage with lots of walls and concerete pillars and kerbs. It is wonderful in that sort of situation.

Can't comment on the seats. Personally I think standard parking sensors are more than sufficient. We did use to mange to park without these things once! Put the money saved into the Bose which is definitely worth it if you like your music!
