I have a 2001 1.9 tdi passat sport estate. Break fluid is leaking quickly from the abs pump that sits in the nearside wing when pedal is pressed. New pump only solution ?

Where brakes are concerned, always buy New.
If it's leaking from a brake pipe only, try tightening it up. If it's leaking from within the unit/from the sides. Replace the unit and bleep up the brake system afterwards.

Aye its Deffo leaking from the unit, probably be one from a breaker. Just a case of changing the unit like for like and then bleeding all brakes ?

It's just a case of usual brake bleeding after? I read something about having to use vag to bleed the pump/unit. Cheers

    edit:

just a case of matching these numbers, 3B0614111 0265220621

leak is coming from under this

fitted another pump, trying to bleed the brakes, starting at the rear offside... using ezibleed, there is very little comming out the bleed niple, and when i remove the ezibleed from the tyre the fluid the in the ezibleed bottle refills..

is it possible the fluid isnt passing the abs pump?

I can't help you with that.
When I was having issues with my rear brakes, people on here told me not to let my brake fluid bottle get empty. If I did I would need vcds to bleed system, to get fluid through the abs pump.
Im sure someone will be able to tell you how soon.
