    hi guys touran 2.0tdi bkd engine gearbox hdu does anyone know whats the best oil to put in gearbox,

    thanks for quick replys spoke to vw earlier they want 21.73 per litre,and they wouldnt give me the spec of the oil,said it wasnt on his system,gazworld dont understand the the spec number you mentioned

    VW G 052 145 A2
    Special synthetic gear oil with SAE 75W90 viscosity for front and rear differentials, including limited slip differentials.


    VW G 052 162 A2
    Special ATF with viscosity modifier. Suitable for 4 and 5 gear ZF automatic transmissions. Not suitable for 6 gear transmissions.

    where would i find the right spec for my cars gearbox it is manual,hdu is the code.i can get it cheaper from eurocar parts and that make is castrol but dont know whats the best thing to use,think im going to buy the vw stuff

    Choose an ester racing oil producer like Fuchs .

    Ask main dealer or TPS what the product part number is and that will correspond with that list .

    The oil from VW for my 5 speed KBL gearbox was "I think" ~£9.00+VAT /L
