Headlights left on warning buzzer not working

Not sure if I have the solution, so thought I would check with you guys/girls.

Upon exiting my car with headlights on dipped, keys removed, I don't get any audible warning to let me know that I've left my lights on, (dipped only, as works with sidelights and also if i leave the rear fog lights on).

I have noticed that when either the sidelights or rear fogs are left on and the keys removed the instrument panel is illuminated and audible warning can be heard, but with dipped lights on the instrument panel doesn't illuminate and the audible warning doesn't activate, is this down to the bulb not working, thus in turn breaking the circuit.

I was wondering, is it just a case of replacing the faulty bulb in the instrument cluster, if so how do I do this, is there a guide anywhere?

Bit late but mine is the same. I have the remote key and Auto light switch version vehicle. If I select sidelights it bings when the door is opened and when the main beam is selected on, nothing when door is opened. I cannot leave the main beam on anyway with ignition off.

Does the door open warning show the door is open and does the courtesy light come on?

Yes, but not when the headlight is on. Maybe the buzzer indicates the door is open and not side lights on. I will go and check the courtesy light. Yes they come on when sidelight and headlight left on.

OK decided to look in manual.

With the ignition off or key removed and door opened.

Accoustic warning when,

Parking light is switched on.
Light switch in position sidelight or headlight
If the light switch is in position dipped headlight (vehicles without orientation lighting)

Reason:
Sidelight switch on, lock car = sidelights on.
Dipped headlight switch on, lock car = no lights on.
