Software Update...

Hi...

I had a missed call yesterday on my answer phone. it was from my local Audi dealer.
They were ringing to arrange to get my car in for a software update.
My car is a 2015 FL 2.0TDI Ultra S Tronic.
Does anyone have any details of what this update could address.
I hoping it isn't something to do with Dieselgate, reduction in power / economy.

I'll be giving the dealer a ring on Monday to find out more information and booking it in.

Shouldn't be dieselgate as you have an ultra model which uses AdBlue - I believe all AdBlue cars were fine.

Not had any calls re any software upgrades for our 14 Ultra

There's been a few updates for the fl.
I've had a steering update, mmi update, Bluetooth update and a check for a dodgy bush.
You will get a letter for the dieselsgate thing first then a follow up for getting it fixed.

Dieselgate does not affect the EA288 engine used in the FL Ultra cars, only affects pre facelift cars with the EA189 engine. Most likely the software update will be for something like the steering

My BE is the same, 2015 2.0tdi but I have not had any calls from the dealer!! Hmm let us know what they tell you it is for, I'll then chase the dealer.

Normally they don't call unless it's a safety issue. Most software updates they do in your next service or the next time it's in for some work

HI...

Got the chance to pop in to my local dealer yesterday, the update is for the MMI. I also asked why when I'm on a service plan wasn't my adblue filled up as the 1500 mile indicator came on at the weekend. I was informed its not included.
I've done just 6K miles since collecting it last October, I was under the impression it should last service to service. But it seems not.
I shall be visiting eBay for a refill kit and a 25 Ltr barrel of the adblue.

If you get the vag hose kit it only works with the 10 litre bottles and not the 25.
10L will do you for 4500-5000 miles.
I think only the mercs can last service to service as they have a bigger adblue tank.
