    Can any one help me,

    I have a 2.0L N-reg Sharan

I recently bought a Sharan and have noticed a very high fuel consumption, i put £50 in the tank the other day and it all ready down to the qtr mark and i've only done 200 miles.

Does this amount sound right, i have had a mechanic check the car out for fuel leaks but he didn't find any. Only to me that seems excessively high. I've not been 'gunning' it either just steady driving.

Can anyone tell me how many miles they get out of there car.

Sounds about right to me for a 2lt petrol !!! the " brickshape " areo dynamics dont help either ,

Ive got a 1.9tdi , and usually get around 500 + miles per tank depending on type of use , so I reckon you should get around 300 miles per tank , give or take !!

Thanks to everyone for your replies, it's such a pain that the mileage is so low on the petrol version.

    Anyway thanks again.

Just searching through old threads and came across this. My Sharan is a 1995 2.0CL petrol manual with 170,000 miles. It averages 30mpg which should be a range of roughly 400 to 450 miles.
