Not sure if this is a trick question or not, but can you not stick your head in the footwell and have a look behind the pedal?

    hi Sam
its a floor mounted pedal and its sort of cased in around the bottom, thought there might of been a clip so the pedal can come forward so I can look behind

you can still look in behind it, there is one screw holding the pedal assembly in then it just pulls away from the floor if required.

Yup, reminds me of the Beetle in the way it's mounted.

You can still see behind it though, or as Chris says, remove it completely.

thank you very much Chris for the info , didn't think it would be that complicated mate I thought the foot pedal would just unclip and flip forward so I could clean behind it not take it all off
