    Hi all,

I have a 60 plate A6 2.0TDI S-Line SE (former Le Mans). I have factory MMI 3G LOW in this car and I have found a good source for a new MMI unit which is High version. I know the PN that I need is "4H0 035 666" but don't know exactly the letter after this. The source that I found is "4H0 035 666 L" which was manufactured in 2013. Will this be compatible with my car? Perhaps if anybody has 60 or 11 plate A6 with MMI High would do me a favor and check the PN through VCDS?

Thanks for the help in advance,
    Pal

    Hi,

Not quite in the age range you're after, but I had a 2009 A6 Le Mans with MMI 3G High. The VCDS scan for the 5F unit is below:

Address 5F: Information Electr. (J794) Labels: Redir Fail!
    Part No SW: 4E0 035 666 D HW: 4E0 035 666
    Component: H-BN-EU H64 0143
    Revision: -------- Serial number: 345BY097545942
    Coding: 010101000102C3ED01000715EF6300030001
    Shop #: WSC 00778 210 97003
    VCID: 2756F150EF7D

    Part No: 8R0 060 884 R
    Component: EUR 2010 1107

    Part No SW: 4F0 919 604 HW: 4F0 919 604
    Component: DU7 High H43 0306

    Part No SW: 4F0 910 609 E HW: 4F2 919 611 M
    Component: Bedienteil MM H01 0060

    No fault code found.
None of the components in mine had a 4H code. Mine was 4E0 035 666 D. Probably worth you waiting for a reply from someone with a later car though

    Cheers!

    MF.

Part numbers starting in 4H are for A8, you need a 4E unit if your just retrofiting 3G High.

I take it you just want the hard disk mapping & higher res screen. As that is the only real difference between low & high.

    That is correct!

Can you just confirm regarding the parts that I need?

AFAIK I need DVD unit (4E0035666 any letter after that), Buttons and knobs (4F2 919 611 M), 7" LCD screen (4F0 919 604 any letter after that), Plastic trim over LCD screen (I don't know the PN).

    Am I correct?

Yes 4E0035666 is correct, no idea on the buttons but your current control panel will work. You will need the complete facelift instrument cluster trim panel
