My Low Oil light came on last night on my 2.0 TFSI so I eased it home and just ordered some oil online. Seems a good deal if anyone else is after some. Not sure of the difference, if any between SAE and FST, but it's all fully synth 5W30 so should tide me over:

Cheap but 505.01 is not as good as 507.00.

Some weeks ago Quantum-Longlife III was £17.99.

Thanks for that. I may stock up on some of that too. My TT seems to get through a fair amount of oil so I'll probably need it. It uses VW 502 00 or 504 00 so should be up to spec

Actually, which is the right viscosity rating for the TT, 5W-40 or 5W-30?

Between the two VW oil spec grades there is just 1 negligible unit of viscosity @100°C so the 30 is a thick 30 and 40 a thin 40.

If your Titty is using oil go to a 5W40 Ester marketed oil such as Red Line , Millers Nanodrive CFS , Gulf Competition , Fuchs Titan Race Pro S and Motul 300V ideally 14 -16 Centistokes range.

Thanks, great info. I've not had the car long so I'll top it up now and monitor it before decided which oil to settle on.
