Just noticed today that if I brake hard I get a sloshing sound like water or fluid is moving about.
Not noticed this in my last 2 a6s or any of my other cars. Is this normal?
Not sure if it's just an effect from the torrential rain fall that we have had over the last few days and it's stuck somewhere and not getting out but I've done about 100 miles today I thought it would have worked its way out if it's rainfall.

I've occasionally noticed this when parking in the garage - I think it might be something to do with the adblue level but can't remember if I hear it when I've just filled up or when it's getting empty...

A mate suffered a similar sloshing noise in his Toureg for two years...turned out to be a half empty bottle of water wedged under the driver's seat.

Check that floor mats are not damp - or any sign of excess condensation on windscreen.

Blocked drains etc. can cause leaks into cabin.

Also check the spare wheel well. My BMW 5 used to keep a lot of rain water in there. It was like a mobile water butt.

Particularly prevalent where you park under trees that drop wet leaves down the windscreen wiper parking area... if they are not cleaned out and break down then they can get into drains.

Right, spent about half an hour trying to find this. Nothing in the spare wheel well. Tried shaking the doors and carpet not damp. It does sound like it's coming from rear passenger side.
I alway make an effort not parking under trees or bushes. Car is like 6 weeks old so doubt I have accumulated enough crap to block the drains.
Cars booked in for my winter wheels on Saturday so will get them to have a look.
