I've tried searching but cant seem to search any tighter that Audi so it brings up a lot of useless hits.
I'm considering changing car and wondered what the maximum load length is with the seats down.
I have tried all over the internet with no success.

So it's 180cm from the rear of the seats to the inside of the part of the boot at the rear. The front seats are in a position where I drive the car and I'm 6"2 so you could get a bit more if you are shorter. It's 100cm wide in the boot but slight wider where the seating area is.

Thats great cheers and just what I was after. I'm wondering if I can get away with replacing the Pathfinder with an A5 and the distance in the back with the seats down is 186cm and I'm only 5'5" so can probably get an extra 6cm with the seat further forward so that sounds like a yes.
Now then 2L or 3L TDi is the fuel consumption really that bad in a 3L.
You have restored my faith in this forum, the TT section is dead.

No worries. Yes I've noticed the TT section is dead, there are a few quiet areas too but ill help where I can.

The wife and I initially wanted the 2 litre manual A5 but after we test drove it (I had a 2l Insignia at the time) and it felt slow and sluggish. Tested the 3l auto and its fantastic. She gets mid 30s mpg wise day to day and round town, but on a run she gets 46. In eco mode she gets an extra 2 mpg round town but no difference on a run. We often do a 301 mile trip from south wales to Sheffield to visit family and thats where she gets the 46 mpg so its pretty good and a good mix of roads although primarily motorway (driving at 80).

Also, don't know if it makes a difference, but the wifes car is a sportback not the Coupe.

Cheers for your help. Deposit placed on a 2L Quattro manual today. A remap will be added soon after purchase.

Interesting that you think the 3.0 is 'bad'.

Anyway, I have a FWD and on a long run, if you don't rag it and keep to speed limits, it's easy to get well North of 50mpg (DIS journey avg). The quattro will reduce that for you though.

Buy a 3l and not rag it. What's the point lol. I have the Ducati for that.

The 2l is going to get a remap. Between that and the weight saving ( not checked this fact if I'm honest) over the 3l and it'll be grand.
