MK6 Golf Match Oct 2011 1.4TSI rough running from a cold start at +20C

Hi All
I'm wondering if anyone has got to the bottom of the rough running that the 1.4TSI petrol engine manages when it's started from cold in a temperate climate around +20C. It's fine when it's colder and the rough running smoothes out after about 2 minutes operation. Great engine otherwise. The rough running bothers the DSG smoothness too. There's no unusual associated sounds, just rough running.

I had this with a 2008 1.4 TSI and it was timing chain/ camshaft related. Used to struggle to start a little then when it did you'd get a high idle speed (around 1200rpm if I remember right) accompanied by rough running.

Thanks for your reply. The car certainally speeds up to 1200 RPM once for perhaps 5 seconds but the problem is very temerature sensitive; warmer of cooler and it's fine. Surely VAG would have sorted their camchain problems by late 2011. There's also no clatter normally associated with chain issues....

Any more suggestions?
