Hi, has any one bought or sold a very low mileage s4 recently? Took mine into the exhaust shop and the chap there REALLY wants to buy it, half tempted to sell given the cost of exhausts but can't find any thing similar out there, ie with 1 prev owner, full history and low miles (65000) to compare with. Oh and there's a reason it's done such low mileage, it's imola yellow (so that rules out driving in the day) does that colour make a big difference to the value?, many thanks

A decent low mileage one is getting hard to find and therefore that makes them desirable, even yellow ones.

If I were you I'd be looking to sell it in a classic car auction. I've seen a couple of S/RS4's sell for very silly money under the hammer. I think the best one was a silver 2000 MY RS4,unmodified one owner FASH and 21,000 miles. The hammer dropped at £22,300. At the same auction a UR Quattro Tresler (?) sold for £28,000

top money for one at the moment is about 5-6k for a proper minter with that low mileage. bear in mind you can pick one up for 2.5k, ok, one that needs work, but if yours is factory spec and clean, then its worth more. imola is a desirable colour as well.

Here in the US, a car like that would probably go for around $9500 or so. Imola and Nogaro hold their value well., especially with that mileage. I think it is pretty crazy how b5 s4's have held their value. But remember, we never got b5 rs4's, so that might help drive up the price.

don't forget that the b5 is the most tuneable s4 ever. you can see 550 bhp on standard internals with only some turbos and injectors, and lots more if you can find and rs4 engine.
