Hi. Would very much appreciate guide lines on how to change the Battery from a standard to a AGM Type as I have retro fitted a Remote Start and Timed Auxiliary Fuel Burner. I understand I have to code via VCDS the new battery specs, but as I planning on purchasing a Varta Silver Dynamic AGM 595 901 085 (95Ah/850CCA) direct from a local supplier it will not have the relavent VAG Part number and serial numbers. Does anybody have these to hand or will VCDS except Varta numbers? Again much appreciated any help as I have dead cold car!!

Changed my battery 3 weeks ago. VCDS will show a drop down box to select the right battery, VARTA been one that it likes. Once selected input the numbers......or just change one of the previous stored numbers

Go on the VCDS web page, it will show you how to do it, very easy.

It will then think/know you have a new battery and you should be good to go.
