2011 Sharan SEL - Water Leak

Hi Folks,

a newbie from Ireland here. We just purchased / imported a 2011 Sharan SEL 170bhp from the UK into Ireland and it has all the kit/ toys. We are very happy with it, well we were until we noticed a water leak at the rear passenger side in the roof and water is gathering on the boot cover.

I have investigated and I cant determine if it is a dodgy rear door / boot seal or if it is the full length sunroof that might be at fault?

I would welcome any thoughts / help with this before I head to the local dealer to get it looked at.

As the car is fitted with a sunroof, that would be my starting point. Check the drain tubes aren't blocked and that water poured into them exits where it should.

So I checked the sunroof and found the drain tubes at the front of the sunroof, I used strimmer cable to run it down inside them.

however, I cannot locate the drain tubes at the rear of the sunroof or underneath the car? Anyone have any ideas where they are located as I think I would have to remove the sunroof in full to find the rear drain tubes.
