Was advised in an oil thread (by Opie oils a forum sponsor) that because I had no dpf, 507.00 was not necessary and that 504.00 was fine.

IIRC 503.00 is for primarily for petrol engines so am a little confused as to why that in 0w 30 form would be used?

Can I ask what you were charged per liter?

My neighbour works at a car repair chain, he did oil & oil filter, air filter, fuel filter & a puncture repair for £80.00, the oil is 505 spec.

Euro Car Parts usually have oil on offer. Check out the www for discount codes.

Else buy it direct from Audi and guarantee you'll have the correct oil. If he used the wrong oil dear knows what make of oil filter he's used!

I do change oil 10k/1yr whichever occur first and like Mark don't have DPF but stick to using the 507.00.

ECP do usually have good promos but only 1-2 times I've seen them beat the value for money that quantum oil is on ebay and AFAIK is Castrol edge rebranded for VAG dealers.

Ebay usually always have it at great prices and Audi main dealer do sell it on there far cheaper than if you tried buying from them.

Previously Cardiff Audi had them going for even £26 for 5L IIRC.

National Tyres do a full oil / filter change for around £40, there's also a 10% discount coupon on their site, so around £36 all in

They use the correct 5w30 oil as recommended too, I've had around 6 oil changes done by them now, watch them as they do it and no issues
I won't be messing around with it myself to save perhaps £5 or so, but know that its done.

I've also had them reset my service interval with their diagnostic software for £15 if required

    All good
