Sat Nav Error Message, 2012 A6 Avant

Hi all, Watty7575 here. My first post, so be gentle.

I just bought my A6, 4 weeks ago and immediately discovered an error message on my MMI Sat Nav Screen. The message reads, 'Navigation Data are Not Enabled'. I'm getting different reports from a few Audi dealers, from, it’s the wrong SD card fitted, to, the car will need to be configured by connecting to Audi Germany database. I phoned Audi UK, who are looking into this but have not come back to me yet.

My MMI system has version RMC_EU_P11311, with the SD card having 2 numbers on the label, 8X0919884E & 8X0060884E. (2013 Europa)

I've read a couple of good posts who have pointed out Wikipedia MMI site to find Firmware and SD map version numbers, unfortunately both my MMI system number AND my SD map card is not listed, very confusing.

Any advice or help would be appreciated.

thats not very good! has the nav ever worked?

M1tchy, good question, one a can't say for sure, the Audi pack came with 2012 and 2013 SD Vinal cases, the 2012 case was empty, with the 2013 sd card slotted in dash. One audi dealer says that the cars are delivered to UK and only during PDI at dealers are they activated. Its a strange one, Audi UK have appointed a 'Case Manager' to investigate. Its now almost Nov and still no Sat Nav, pants!!!

Not good at all! Have you tried importing the map data from the SD card onto the cars HDD?

No, not sure how i would try/do this. There is no obvious options when I go into MMI settings, (PC required, who knows). To fully update the Sat Nav with the latest 2014 maps, part munber 8R0060884BK Audi are quoting £228, with the car still under warranty I'm hoping that Audi will come good for this (if they cannot find a fix for current error) i also believe the lastest firmware HN+R_EU_AU_K0770 is required if 2014 Maps are installed.(This info I stole from a switched on member, Westyfield2)

try, menu, setup MMI, software update and then with your mapping card in one of the SD slots, select it and it should work?

Hi M1, no joy. Tried MMI settings, system update and select sd1.....came up, no files to update. No software option came up. The system can tell me the firmware & SD map versions but somehow they are not sync together. I cannot find anywhere online anyone who has encountered this error message. Will chase up Audi UK. Thanks for your help. Much appreciated.... By the way, your A7 sounds great, cheers
