My car has G12 in it at the moment, I will be doing the timing belt on the next service can you use G13 coolant as a replacement or do you have to stick to G12++ coolant?

Dan I changed mine to Halfords premium (pink and long life) over a year ago and no issues. Check their spec as it meets the requirements of G12+ and is a fraction of the Audi price.

I'm not going to use audi but EuroCarParts are doing ready mixed G13 coolant for £1.86 for a litre bottle.

Spec's say 11-12 litres so 12 bottles only £22.32. or is this too much?

    Is the audi stuff concentrate?

    Hi Dan,

Genuine VAG G13 is concentrate, G13 can be used in place of G12 , G12+ and G12++.

    Description

VAG G13 Coolant/Antifreeze, will mix safely with all other VW Coolants (G11, G12, G12+)

    Fitting Info

Dilute 40/60 for temps down to -24°C
Dilute 50/50 for temps down to -36°C
View page 6, compatibility chart Link:-VW_Audi_Coolant_Cooling_G12_Plus_G13_Antifreeze

Have read posts by experienced VAG tech stating is better to replace G12 versions with G13 due to its better properties.
