    Hi Everyone,

I recently bought a 2006 Audi A6 3.2. I am loving it. The car is just great and I have been driving it quite a lot. The only problem that I have is with the CD player. I figured out that I can't play MP3 on it. I was wondering if there is a way to change the CD player and make it compatible to play through a USB device or even a aux port to connect my phone or ipod.

Also, the car has bluetooth which connects with my iphone and I am able to make/receive calls on it. Can I just upgrade the interface software and use the same hardware setup to stream songs through bluetooth??

Hope to get some great feedback from all the experienced guys out there.

    Thanks.

If you have a cd multichanger in the glovebox then it can be replaced with an AMI (Audi Music Interface) which, with the appropriate lead, can connect to iPlayers or USB mass storage devices. In fact you can add and AMI alongside the CD changer but then get no glovebox to speak of. There are guides on the forum on how to do this.

Thanks for the input. It's good to know that I can make the change.

What price range should I be looking for when I go to buy the AMI? Can I get it at a Audi dealer or do I have to get it third party? If so are there any dealers in the United States?

I got mine off eBay Germany used :-) and paid €200 about. As I mentioned search on this forum and you'll find examples of it being done. Used is a LOT cheaper than a dealer.
