I recently retrofitted cruise control to my Cabriolet. This is all working well, but I am left with the airbag light on. I've reset this with VCDS but it comes straight back on. The 2 faults are:
    2 Faults Found:
    00588 - Airbag Igniter; Driver Side (N95)
001 - Upper Limit Exceeded - MIL ON
    Freeze Frame:
    Fault Status: 11100001
    Fault Priority: 1
    Fault Frequency: 1
    Reset counter: 255
    Time Indication: 0

    01587 - Igniter 2 for Airbag; Drivers Side (N250)
001 - Upper Limit Exceeded - MIL ON
    Freeze Frame:
    Fault Status: 11100001
    Fault Priority: 1

I have checked the connector in the steering wheel and tapped out the wires from the plug to the terminals on the back of the airbag which appear to be fine. Not sure what to look for now - any ideas? It seems odd both igniters are showing faults.
