    I have a VW Golf 1.9 GT TDI 150 (2002).
The clutch pedal has started to feel odd when the car is cold, but performs fine after 5 mins of driving once the engine is warm.
When cold, the clutch feels like it has lost pressure in the system, in that the clutch pedal resistance at the top of the pedal travel reduces and the biting point becomes very close to the floor.
As the car warms up, the biting point moves up away from the floor and back to its original and proper place.

Could this be a clutch master/slave cylinder problem, or a dual mass flywheel problem ?

NB, pumping the clutch makes no discernible difference to the clutch pressure/resistance or the biting point.

    Cheers!
    J

No idea, only had it 4 months. Previous owner was pretty meticulous with servicing it every 5000 m, but would it get to 145000 m on original clutch + DMF ?

I'm juts wondering if I should start with clutch fluid bleed (it doesn't seem to leak).

    cheers

Yeah, for sure it could. Depends on how it has been driven. I'm no driving miss daisy, but no stirling moss either. My clutch and DMF are still original and the car is approaching 210,000 miles.

I remember an old reply where the solution was a replacement slave cylinder, maybe do a trawl through the old post for further information.

PHEEWWWWW - it was a leaky master cylinder (but not enough to cause level to change)
