    Hi folks
Just had a repair done so thought I'd share it.
The ESP light kept coming on totally randomly and the engine would go into limp mode. Turning the ignition off and back on cleared it each time. I searched on here and got a few hits from people with a similar fault but no one bothers to post their solution hence why I'm posting this.
I took it into my local Indy who diagnosed and replaced the throttle body assembly which was £78 plus a couple of hours labour so not too bad.
    It's a 1.9tdi 130 sport 02 plate.
Hope this helps someone else if you get a similar fault.
    Regards
    Gareth

I drive 120 miles a day and don't have any other car to use so I was quite happy with 78 quid new and the loan of my local indy's loan car.

I certainly do mate! PD130 has an EGR attached to the inlet manifold not a throttle body. VAG petrol 1.8T engines have a throttle body.

Probably a terminology mistake by your mechanic then, but either way 2 hours labour to change it! 30 mins would be the norm.
