The accelerator pedal on my A3 suddenly went a bit stiff today.
Normally the pedal is very light (as disscussed in other threads), however something changed whilst driving today and i noticeably need to apply more pressure to the pedal.
It also appears that there may be a slight lag in the power and the pedal possibly sticking very slightly as the revs seem to take a delay in dropping when I take my foot off the gas.

The car is a manual 2.0 TDI black edition on a 60 plate with 62,000 miles.

Has anybody experienced anything similar or have any ideas what the problem is?

    Thanks

    Ray

Well there is no throttle cable to fail as it's all done electronically.

Check at the pivot/hinge at the bottom of the pedal incase theres any stones or debris blocking the back of it.

Blurry pic but this is the ideal time to upgrade to the aluminum ones like I did

    Hi Chris,

    Thanks for the reply.
I will have a good look tomorrow and check for any stones / debris.
Hopefully you are right and it will be a very simple fix.
    Like the pedals.

Everything seems to be back to normal.
I blasted round the pedal with compressed air which must have dislodged any debris behind the pedal.
    Nice cheap fix.

Perhaps I need to vacuum the car out a little more often
