Chance to buy Passat cc 170, thoughts please?

Yet another company car coming up to end of leas at work, 2011 Passat CC 2.0TDI GT 170 DSG, 75,000 miles, full leather, ACC, RNS510 nav, the list goes on..
Emailed BCA remarketing and got a price of £11,950 a simple email back got this down to £11,450....is this a good offer? should I be cheeky and ask for lower price?
Do these engines have timing belt or chain?
Should this sort of mileage be off putting?

I have just bought a 2010 170 GT last week from Car Giant. Pretty much the same spec as the one you are looking at although mine is a manual. All in just under £12.3k which includes a years tax and a years full warranty. 70,000 miles on the odo and in good condition. Its had a paint job to sort out stone chips and needs all four wheels to be refurbed. Also just had to fit new discs and pads as the discs were making a nasty noise under heavy braking.

Minor stuff really but their so called vehicle inspection is a joke with the brakes being like they were. Everything works with full history and full VW servicing history with it. Hindisght being a wonderful thing there was a car closer with less mileage but a brown leather interior, not my cup of tea.

The mileage to me would not be an issue to be honest and i would be a bit cheeky and offer £11k. Do make sure its got full history though.

Not sure about the timing belt thing though but i suspect it will be a belt and not a chain.

I will be buying the car at £11,335. The best bit was as its gone over the lease term, the company I work for have just put 6 months tax on it, had it serviced, MOT'd and had 2 new tyres fitted on the rear. However I get no warranty as im buying direct from VW finance via BCA.
Condition is very good, odd stone chip and slight scuff on top of back bumper near boot lid, which I will get sorted.
I will also have the dsg oil and filter changed.
These have belts which according to the book require changing 5 years or 120,000 miles. Although my local VW dealer say 4 years.
The other good thing Is I know the history, the person who has drive It for the last 3 years

Sounds good then, i contacted the lease company to check the car out and why the paint work had been done but they could not confirm anything. Still at least it was HPI clear.
