I've bought a 2008 audi a4 tdi from a friend that has a p2015 fault code on it. It also has the engine management like on but drives ok.
He had it to a garage and they were surprised to fix it but haven't.
It looks like they fitted a new throttle body.
    Any ideas on this problem??

18447/P2015/008213 - Intake Manifold Flap Position Sensor (Bank 1): Implausible Signal

    Possible Symptoms

    Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) ON
    Power Loss

    Possible Causes

    Intake Manifold Flap faulty
Intake Manifold Flap Motor (V157) stuck/faulty
Engine Control Module Software/Firmware Version faulty
Wiring and/or Connector(s) from/to Intake Manifold Flap Motor (V157) faulty

    Possible Solutions

    Check Intake Manifold Flap
Check/Replace Intake Manifold Flap Motor (V157)
    Perform Output Tests/Basic Setting
Check Wiring and/or Connector(s) from/to Intake Manifold Flap Motor (V157)

    Special Notes

In some Cases the Issue can only be resolved by Replacing the whole Intake Manifold.
The Intake Manifold Flap Motor (V157) and Manifold Runner Position Sensor (G336) may be Part of the same Unit.
When found in a VW Golf/Jetta (1K): 1.9l PD-TDI (BRM), check Engine Control Module (ECM) Software Version:
03G-906-016-AB @ 7328 or 7550 as well as 03G-906-016-AC @ 7280 or 7551 do have a Software Error which requires a special Adaptation for the Intake Manifold Flap Motor (V157) which at this Point can only be performed with the Factory Tool.

Where abouts is the flap in the manifold?
Is there any pictures available of the flap and motor?
Is it what looks like a throttle body or is it inside the manifold it self?

I've just replaced this exact part on my b8 cost me €435 euros for the part from Audi like yours emissions light on but no loss in power car drove perfectly seems to be the little square bit at the end the sensor that goes in them common enough I think as that was the second one they had sold that day and the parts guy correctly guessed an 08 car maybe this was sorted on later years

This sounds the same as I fault I had with MY2008 A4 TDI a few months ago but in my case there was a marked reduction in power

The fault was diagnosed by my local dealer to be V157 intake manifold flap motor.
The motor was replaced at a cost of £457.52.
    Before - 2008 A4 2.0 TDI SE 143 PS Silver
Before - 2014 A4 2.0 TDI 150 PS BE in Phantom Black, Tech Pack
Present - VW Tiguan R-Line 150 PS in Deep Black Pearl
