Audi A6 C6 Seat Swap Help

Hi Gents

Apologies if this has been covered before but if anyone can point me in the direction of a guide I would be ever grateful. Im am about to attempt a seat swap in my Audi A6 C6 avant. The new seats come with the rails so am hoping it should be simple. I can find a guide for the C5 having done this on my previous car but nothing for a C6.

Why are you changing them?

It should only be a matter of undoing the bolts/screws in each corner of the 2 rails.

I was hoping that would be the case! Just seeing if anyone had tried and come across anything I should know about or be careful of. The seat belts seem to be joined to the seat, Im hoping they will come off simply too? Im swapping from standard leather seats to S Line. I find the standard seats quite uncomfortable. I find there is not enough support under my legs and at the sides.

Thats a A4, might be different.

Apart from the plastic trims on the runners at the start of the video its the same. I used it when i wanted to properly hoover the carpets on mine underneath. Going to have to do mine again tomorrow as I've stripped one of the height gears.

Haven't done this myself but I know if you unplug the air bag circuit and turn the ignition on before both seats air bags are reconnected, the airbag warning light comes on requiring VCDS to reset it. This is easy to do if you take both front seats out and test the electrics having only put one seat back. You've probably got the VCDS equipment anyway?

Disconnect the battery. Unplug seats. Do work required. Plug seats back in. Reconnect battery. That way the car wont know.

If you disconnect the battery, do you then need to enter a radio code? Is it not easier to remove a fuse for the airbags? (same as disconnecting the battery as far as the airbags are concerned?)
