Hi all,
I'm looking at upgrading my alloys on my a4 to 19" y spoke alloys off an a5
The alloys are 19" 5x112 ET32, I know the centre bore is the same
will these be a direct fit on my a4 and what tyre size would be recommended?
i will be lowering on bilstein shocks and eibach sportlines soon if this effect fitment
thanks
john

so the different ET shouldn't be an issue even when lowered?

Be careful, the A5 and A4 have a different track. Chassis is the same but the body on the A5 is wider - hence the different ET. Those A5 alloys (if the standard "Y" design) can work with a A4 but will sit right under the bodywork (I think the A4 ET is 45mm so you are looking at a wheel that's 13mm or so further out from the centre of the car. This might cause issues with rubbing depending on how low your suspension is.

I think this is widely discussed on the US forums and the general consensus is not to do it without checking the interference carefully

Here is a picture of an A4 with stock A5 wheels - you can see how far they protrude (3rd and 4th pictures)

Thanks for this, but can't see any pics
also, will there be any issues if it isn't lowered?

I had 18inch A5 alloys on mine and they were fine, actually looked better as they filled the arch more.
I know 18inch ET32's and 19 inch ET38 fit ok on the B8.

You might be pushing it a bit with 19 ET32 with the sportline springs

yeah I know what you mean
might have to go with the pro kit, the guy in that link has his wheels with h&r OEM springs which are about the same as pro kit.

Heres a pic from the US sites,

Looks like a non s-line A4, with the same wheels youre looking to fit, sport springs (probably drop around 30mm from stock), ET32 - no rubbing.

Remember though, UK roads are torture, so you dont want to be too close to the edge.

(if that IMG coding doesnt work, just click the link)

That's pretty much what I'm looking for. Will look at the cost of h&r springs and sports shocks over the bilsteins b12 pro kit both like you said lowering 30mm from stock. Mine is non sline so should work the same
