    difficult one to answer really. the cam cover can leak. i presume you have an oil leak that you need to trace ?
    Audi 80 tdi avant with 360,000 miles...

    Yes a hard one to trace. Had it over a pit with lights etc. Seems to come from rear of engine and run down near oil filter (screw on type).

    thats possibly the o ring on the oil cooler, if its the same as my 1z. febi do the part for it and it costs about £3.00. basically you have the oil filter housing that bolts to the block, then the cooler under it, then the filter. remove the filter and undo the nut on the central bolt to drop the cooler. there is an o ring on top of it. i also remove the housing and replace the gasket.

    The end of the crank case breather pipe becomes brittle and breaks off. It's near the oil filter costs about €40.00 from a dealer
