Are you asking how to remove it from the car or how to open it to get at the LED's mate?

The entire unit is sealed so you can only replace the whole box.
On the estate open the boot and next to each light you should see a black cover sitting in the gutter(?) about 3 inches high. Unclip it and you will then see a plastic nut. Undo the nut, not the T20 bolt in the middle. Then at the back edge of the light by the bodywork get something sturdy but plastic and lever the light unit SIDEWAYS until it stops before pulling the light backwards. You must go sideways first to squash 2 clips that sit in the bodywork. once the units free there's a simple plug to undo, unit comes away.
Just put back in reverse order.

    Hello everyone
sorry to be hijacking this post!! I have a problem with my B6 2007 Passat 2.0 TDI Sport. firstly my O/S led rear lights was not working properly, the indicator was not coming on as well as the middle section of it i think it is the brake lights.

Ok so I bought a new one from a dealer, and fit it my self, i had the same problem when it was installed. now the indicator is only flickering. i have since then disconnected the new light and tried back the old one and it did the samething ie the indicator was just flickering.

that tells me that it might not be the light cluster itself that is faulty.

    does anyone have any ideas????

    Hi Everyone
Would like to say thanks to everyone for your help with my diagnosing of the led rear lights on my VW passat. the problem is now fixed. for information purposes the fault was the Power Supply Control unit.

    Regards!!!!

    Hello
the unit is located above the drivers pedals, there are many part no.s for it, it all depends on the specs for your car. the part no. would look something like this 3C0 937 049 AE. I was trying to add a document but I Don't know how.

    hope this helps.

    Regards!!!
