A4 1.9 TDI cam belt mileage interval ??

Hi. Can any one advise what the mileage interval for a cam belt is on an A4 tdi 130 Avant ? I think it's about 55k but am unsure and want to check before the belt reaches it's limit. Thanks. Phil G

I stick to 60k or 4 years whichever comes first - hasn't failed me yet.

Thank you. I'm up to 165k and last did the belt, tensioners etc at 120k, so am a bit more reassured I've got 15k to go. Tis an expensive do but not as expensive as a rebuild. Cheers

Not that expensive really - just had Cambelt, all tensioners, aux-belt, water pump and replace lost coolant on the water-pump change done with genuine VAG parts and it cost me £300. A bit more than 3 yrs ago when it was last done, but parts prices and labour rates have gone up - but I'm pleased. The "correct" answer if you ask Audi CS is 75k miles or 5 years - however I'm with Chris - 60k or thereabouts. I ran over this time by 7k miles just because of my schedule, but still got it done well before 70k!

Had the full cambelt service recently on my 2.5 tdi at 50 thou and the belts were not that healthy, so better early than late!

Official answer I got last week was 60k, which corresponds to what the service book says as well....
