Am I going a bit strange(r), or is the Audi model with the most advanced MMI actually the A3 Saloon?

A6 has the sweet high screen with MMI Touch, also has Audi Connect. A4 has what appears to be the same MMI system, but it's stuck in the same physical location as my 59 reg. car, embedded firmly in the dash, but quite high up - no MMI Touch, but Audi Connect (either here now or coming). The A3 Saloon has a very cool retractable display, also very thin, but it can also come with MMI Touch that's completely integrated into the top of the MMI wheel, also has Audi Connect.

A site that I was looking at earlier also implied the A3 'hard disk' was a 64GB SSD, as opposed to a spinning disk - but I've not seen that verified anywhere.
    Cheers, Hippo

The A3 Saloon brochure states "flash"... looks like confirmation of another advancement in MMI terms.

Mid-August and Wakefield Audi will probably have one at their place (an A3 Saloon, that is). I am not sure I can wait that long to place an order for some car (surely I can hold off for a few weeks and check it out?). It's getting to that point where I've, maybe, done close to enough research. A4 is out. XF is out. IS 300h is still intriguing to me. A6 is front runner. A3 Saloon I'd like to see more of (the size of the car doesn't really bother me, unless it's obviously too small... A6 is, after all, probably too large for me) and load it up with QF, 4A3, C0J, 2UC, WBI, WB4, QQ4, 4F2, 9JA, 6XK, 7X2, KA2, PCG, 7K1 and PCB.

You can tell I've been having brochure fun... the cool options are cheaper on the A3 Saloon, you can really go to town.
    Cheers, Hippo

The A3 Sat Nav with Audi Connect will apparently also tell you price of fuel at nearest fuel stations and let you go to the cheapest Latest Audi models seek out local fuel savings < Latest news < About Audi)

You'd obviously hope this, and other cool stuff, comes to every car model that has an MMI+ and Audi Connect installed... via "at no extra charge" software updates, of course. I remain confident that Audi won't let us down.

It would appear that Audi Connect has had an upgrade, we were messing about with it in my A7 the other day and the petrol price stuff was all available and actually quite good, it knew all the local stations and had recent prices. We have the top 8" MMI and telephone prep high and I use rSAP via my Galaxy S3
