How hard is it to replace the bulb? Is it one bulb for the indicator AND the puddle light?

    Hi,

for the puddle light its a seperate W5W 'wedge' type bulb - identical to the sidelight type bulb in the headlights - this can be replaced on its own

the indicator 'bulb' on the other hand is the ENTIRE housing - i.e. its the clear plastic lens complete with the lower black part of the mirror casing including the puddle light casing - total cost from the parts counter - £40 (they kindly rounded it down for me)

it isnt that difficult with some patience. all you need is a T10 torx screwdriver

step 1) remove the mirror glass (tilt all the way down and to the left and then get a finger or something behind the outside edge and pull towards you gently and smoothly - will pop off, remove the positive/negative terminals for the heater element - place the mirror glass somewhere safe

step 2) remove the 3 T10 torx screws holding on the mirror adjuster motor (big round black thing) - DO NOT REMOVE THE SILVER SCREW IN THE MIDDLE - remove the plug for the motor and place to one side

step 3) remove the two screws holding the black outer trim in place - along the top edge will be two 'pop' clips which are securing the mirror 'cap' (colour coded part) to the black trim - pop this off - place aside

step 4) remove the 2 tabs holding the mirror cap in place - place this aside also

step 5) the lower black housing should now be left attached to the actual metal mirrror with one tab at the front and a pin at the rear - release the tab at the front freeing it from the mirror housing and the bottom should be free for you to release the puddle light bulb and the power plug for the indicator.

step 6) to put back together - reverse from step 5-1

not that difficult at all just needs some patience! i finally have a working indicator!
