    Hi,

Today while I had the rear discs and brake pads changed the mechanic of my local AD noticed a small amount of oil on the rear right shock absorber. I asked for the price and they quoted me 800 euros for just the one.

My car is the A6 Allroad 2006 3.0 tdi 233bhp with 180.000 kms on it.

Do you think it needs to be replaced immediately? Is there a way to repair it? I haven't noticed any difference while driving.

    Thanks

    do you have air suspension???

If no, then 800 is too much money. It only takes 2 hours to change a rear shock

Yes my car has air suspension as all A6 allroads do.

Is a used one worth it or it's a waste of money?

Recently on another forum someone showed an A6 2.0 TDi with Air-Lift kit ...

After doing a google for airlift suspension and specifying the max versions of each option on their price list it equalled £285 ...

Just for my own knowledge may give them a buzz tomorrow to see if above price includes all parts ... Link:- Air-lift.co.uk ::::: Air Bag Suspension Kits: Audi A6 Performance Systems
