Hi Guys. I'm looking for a bit of help. My A6 decided to give my CCM a bit of a swim. As a result, I think the CCM is fried although it appears to read fine with my freebie version of VCDS lite but I cannot re-learn the keys. So, my question is: I think I have located a replacement CCM with the exact code. What is involved in getting the CCM to work with the car? Is there something I need to do with a full version of VCDS (or something someone on here could help me with???) Thanks in advance for your help!

When my CCM went swimming, I replaced it with an identical part code and simply programmed the remote fobs to it (use a spare key in the ignition... details on here somewhere).
Mine read fine with vcds too but was all over the place with how it worked !
There are codes that you can put in via vcds for auto. window opening, drivers door unlock on first button press, rest on second press, alarm functions and stuff but start with the remote programming and see how the new CCM is configured.

If you replace like for like you should be able just to copy the codes over from your old module into your new module without any problems.

Not sure how the keys work tho.

    AUDI REMOTE PROGRAMMING

Remote Control Programming (1997 AND UP)
    1. Switch Ignition ON and leave the key in the ignition.
    2. Mechanically lock the vehicle using
the Drivers door with a second key.
    3. Using the remote control press the Unlock
button once, and the horn will sound once.
    4. Wait 6 seconds and press the unlock button once to activate the
coding procedure.(The remote control will now be programmed).
    * If programming 2 remotes press the unlock button twice on the
second remote with one second interval between each press.
    * If programming 3 remotes press the unlock button three times
    on the third remote...etc..etc..
    5. Switch Ignition OFF.
    6. Remove key from ignition and check for operation.
    7. The coding procedure can be repeated up to 4 times for additional
    remotes.
    8. The ignition must be switched OFF between programming each
    remote.

    (worked on my 2001 allroad.)
