    Hi i was looking at buying one of these VAG com cables but are they really any good???

    I'd be more inclined to buy from Gendan ... check the review tab ...

    Don't even consider buying one of the cheap Chinese cloned cables of fleabay they are more trouble than they are worth so I'm told. You need a genuine VCDS cable.
    2010 Golf GTD (170) CBBB, 5 Door, Shadow Blue (P6/D5Q), Flat Tyre Indicator, Basic Protection Pack + VCDS.

    Get the Gendan cable as suggested by Gupsterg. It's VCDS Lite but can be fully licensed for small money. vag409 is old. I have heard of these cheap cables causing all sorts of problems including shorts, melting cables etc

    i bought an ebay cheapie and it works fine for me . i have used it for my 80 and a couple of polos, with the unreg version of the ross tech software you can check faults and use measuring blocks in real time to see whats happening with the engine, it depends on what you are using it for.
