Had a bit of a hiccup with the air suspension on my allroad this morning. On my way to work the warning light on the dash was flashing (yellow car, up and down arrows). No blocks indicating ride height on the MMI Graphic. Stopped, restarted and carried on, all seemed OK, but when I got to work, there is what sounds like a continously running compressor underneath the front off-side of the car. Is that where the air suspension compressor is? Thanks. (I now have a flat battery...)

    Google SSP 344 ...

There are two parts, file names are :-

    SSP344_1 Audi A6 Avant 2005

    SSP344_2 Audi A6 Avant 2005 ...

    Ref pages 14 & 15 ... compressor is@front ...

There is also a repair kit for compressor Link:- Audi Allroad Air Suspension Compressor Repair Kit | eBay

There maybe a repair kit for suspension/lines but no idea@present ... will research & get back to you ... a fault scan via VCDS will reveal what is @fault...

Also google SSP 242 & 243 ... There are two parts, file names are :-

SSP242 Pneumatic suspension system Part 1 Selflevelling suspension in the Audi A6

SSP243 Pneumatic suspension system Part 2 Selflevelling suspension in the Audi A6

It is for C5 but even in the C6 SSP's they tell you to ref stuff in that ...

Thanks for that..It shows where the compressor is and that's where the running noise was coming from. I had the previous Allroad before this one and the compressor was in the boot. Next thing is to jump start it and get it back home, and try and locate the fuse (left the manual at home unless anybody can advise soon!). I believe that there is a relay that can stick...any idea where that is? Thanks.

I've got two fuses under the panel at the nearside end of the dashboard, both as being classed as for the self levelling suspension. In the Blacj carrier, Fuse 11 which is 15A and in the Brown carrier No5, a 5A. I presume the 15A is for the compressor? Thanks.

Thanks. When you say plenum chamber, do you mean a covered box underneath the plastic tray infront of the windscreen, between the brake servo and inner wing? Got the car started and left it at a garage for checking, as it came up with a suspension fault warning on the dash, the compressor is still running continuously and also headlight deflection and handbrake problem warning lights came on.
