    Hi guys,

I'm meeting someone to use their VCDS. I want to turn off the seatbelt chime, occasionally when I am driving, if I lean forward, the chime goes off, can be very annoying.

So I just want to turn off the chime permanently via the VCDS. I have a 2006 A4 2.0T S Line Multitronic. From what I understand, some codes need to be changed, if someone can tell me how to do it for my car that would be great.

    Thanks.

Thanks, but to be honest I didn't understand it, can someone simplify this for me please.

    Code:

    Turn ignition to ACC
    Connect VCDS cable
    Start VCDS
Under Select Control Module click on Select.
    Click on 17-Instruments
    Click on Coding - 07
Make a note of your current coding.
Adapt the code so that the digit relating to Seatbelt Warning (ie the digit represented by the question mark in the massive load of text you've copied here) is a zero

If you're not sure what you're doing, it's probably wise not to do it yourself.

I've never used a VCDS, the user may understand it better.
I don't mean to sound dumb but I still didn't quite get this bit:

Adapt the code so that the digit relating to Seatbelt Warning (ie the digit represented by the question mark in the massive load of text you've copied here) is a zero

Do you mean that, whatever number is in place of that question mark, i should change it to 0?

For example if the code is 0012341 then I should change it to 0012301
Or should I change the number next to the ? Which would be the last digit. For example to 0012340
