    Hi guys!

    New guy here!

Just wondering, is it physically possible to stick the V10 from the S8/R8/RS6 into the RS4 B7? I like those three cars but they are just out of my price range for what I will be able to afford. I would love to be able to just buy any one of those three, don't get me wrong but I just prefer the styling of the B7 RS4 as my parents own a 2006 B7 A4 2.0TDI.

All help is, as it always will be, greatly appreciated!

I'd say a lot of work.

Better to buy the RS6 or even a S6 if you want a V10.

Have you seen how much an engine is?

I wouldn't even consider your unrealistic idea!

First of all the engine wouldn't fit in the B7 engine bay.

Surely the money purchasing a fairly decent RS4 plus a decent engine conversion if it was possible will get you an RS6- certainly an S6 as Chris mentions

Maybe better supercharging the RS4 if you are after power gains

Let alone the extra weight, would the mounts/chassis handle the engine weight, balance etc, its a huge job tbh, then there's the electronics.

Anything will fit if you've got the money. The engine under the plastics isn't a great deal longer than the v8, however, as mentioned its a lot of work and frankly for the money paid, you could get a good rs4 and charge it.

Yeah, I do realise now that the engine cost would be through the roof and it would actually be more sense to get the V10 in the form of another car (eg. S6 etc.) or buy the RS4 and Charge it as Steve and Kodkod.84 both say is slightly more sensible! (:

It's called 'washing'. Not that you'd know what that means, bless.
