Hi just bought a 2010 passat r 110 1968cc that is fitted with an rcd310 radio. I have a few questions so I appreciate your patience.

Would I be correct in thinking that the rcd310 doesn't come with Bluetooth as standard but it may be found in some? Also - I have been looking for the MDI interface but can't find it, I have read that it should be found either in the glovebox or in the compartment between the front seats - it's not there. Is it possible that my car doesn't have an MDI interface?

If it doesn't have MDI or Bluetooth what would a rough estimate of the cost of fitting these - I am not techy enough to do it myself so we are talking professional installation. The aux input is in the compartment between the front seats but it doesn't seem to Work.

Appreciate any advice and I thank u in advance,
    cheers, biffo

Sounds like you have same problem as me. I have the rcd510 with just aux input.
You have to turn on aux in set up menu ( just tick the box)
if you want someone to retro fit bluetooth it looks like about £300 for a falcon kit plus fitting. Don't know about mdi kit as I am thinking about changing the head unit for a kenwood or zenec that integrate into car and have everything built in.
Candy white cc 170 DSG 59 plate. Mods coming soon

Hi Teddy, thanks for the tip about Aux, its now running and has great sound! I don't want BT enough to fork out £300 but my wife has just told me she does! Will let her pay for it then :-)
    Thanks again!

If you want cheap BT try this

    http://www.belkin.com/us/F4U037-Belkin/p/P-F4U037

Works a treat in my A3 for calls and music. If you have an iPhone then Siri makes it hands calling. Around £37 on amazon.
