    Hi

I've been searching the forum without success.

I checked the RT Wiki and tried to perform the Basic Setting on 142 but it failed and block 4 stayed in ERROR.

Can anyone give me any pointers with these two faults please?:

I believe there is a Technical solution from VW that says to replace the intake flap motor.

Thanks for the reply! I thought that was the case, but the only examples I could find had different fault codes, some of the terminology used (depending on country) also threw me off a bit

Have you any experience of changing the flap motor?

    Thanks again.

You have to be very very careful when seperating the linkage from the ball and socket arrangement. The best way is to remove as much as possible to allow better access. I'm not sure but iirc you may need a very long socket extension to reach the bolts/screws from underneath.

Hi ,just searching through here as I have the same Intake Manifold Tuning Valve Position Sensor error on my golf 1.6 Fsi. How did you (eventually) solve your problem? Any tips would be great as I am keen to find out whether a trip to a vw dealer is worthy or not.

    Thanks !
