I was just having a look through an old scan and noticed that the label on the engine ends with AJM. My car is a 1.9tdi 130 (i hope!). Scan below...

    Address 01: Engine Labels: 038-906-019-AJM.LBL
    Controller: 038 906 019 JT
    Component: 1,9l R4 EDC G000SG 1572
    Coding: 00002
    Shop #: WSC 63351
    VCID: 7297B3E62DA1
    WAUZZZ8E63A241171 AUZ6Z0B0343816
    No fault code found.
    Readiness: N/A

How does that read to someone in the know about these things. Is the engine in fact an AJM - 115 or AWX which the cam cover label says?

It is worth mentioning that my car was cat c.

    TIA

AJM was only fitted to audi a4 b5 and passat b5 from 2000 V,X and W reg. No b6 audi a4 came with AJM engine but they had a AVB which is 100Bhp. If the cambelt cover sticker said AWX then it's 130Bhp. Check the service book sticker for the reight engine code...

Thanks for your replies. I'm just thinking the engine could have been swapped out by a previous owner, maybe me just being paranoid as the car has been in a smack. I just thought the engine label would be AWX that was all.

The AJM engine reference is only the VCDS label file reference by the looks of it.

The label file in VCDS adds labels / desriptions to measuring blocks and the like.

I wouldn't worry and as above, check the boot sticker and or the cambelt cover where you should see your AWX engine code.
