    Hello guys,

I'm a newbie here, I bought this A6 few weeks ago from my friend, and I am just going to change my engine oil tomorrow, but I'm still not sure what is the best engine oil for my 3.2 V6 engine as I don't have the owner manual with me any more.

Someone said audi recommend the 5W40 someone said it is 0WXX...really confuse right now....

Could any one tell me what is the best oil for C6 A6 3.2 V6?

    Cheers,

    Kevin

Sorry didn't realise you were there.

Used another cars registration number and the site came up with Castrol Edge 5W-30 Fully Synthetic.

Thank you so much, yeah, I just moved into NZ few years ago, sorry about my bad English skill.

I got a quote from local Audi dealer earlier, I was asking them to quote how expensive to change the transmission oil, they told me it will cost me $1500NZD(around 800 pounds) plus 15% GST...which is horrible I think...and finding a audi parts is also very hard in this country especially for some parts like new style ENG start/stop button...as Audi is not a popular brand here...

Thank you very much for your help, I will buy some 5W30 tomorrow,

Yeah mate totally understand you. Same crap over in Oz. All the mechanics just know how to service Toyota and Holden/Ford. Thats it. Full stop. Or you go dealer and fork out thousands for fluid changes.
