    Hi,i have just bought some ronal style alloys,they are 112pcd and offset of 35,my current wheels are vw cataluyna 112 pcd and 45 offset,16 inch alloys change to 18 inch alloys,will they fit okay,do i need spacers or something,225/50/16 - 225/50/18, thanks in advance.

    Your speedo will read 5mph more with those 18" tyres .. you need 225/40/18

    Looking online the B6 passat has a ET of 45.

    Thanks for reply,can i still use these wheels for this car,i have also read online that the ride might be a bit hard with 225/40/18,could i use 225/45/18 instead,thanks.

    no you need 225/40/18 for your speedo to be correct

    there will be very little difference from a 45 to a 40 tyre plus anyway the 18" will be hard compared to the 16" so you'd be best sticking with the correct tyre size as it could invalidate your insurance

    not sure on the et problem but im sure if you do a search the answer will be out there

    ET should be fine, they'll just sit 10 mm further out in the arches. Chances are the 18"s are the same width as the 16"s (bearing in mind you've quoted 225 for both) so apart from the fact that you may get a small amount of inner edge tyre wear, there shouldn't be a problem.
