I just bought Passat B6 with RNS 310 and under passenger seat I have 3C0 035 729 E. My car does not have a multifunction steering wheel. Using VCDS I have deleted old bluetooth connection and make bluetooth modul visible. Then I try to pair with my Samsung Galaxy S2 without any success. Is there a way to make a connection with this unit or I need only Nokia phone?

A quick look on the interweb thingy says that part number is Nokia badged, which leads me to believe it is the Premium Bluetooth kit. Do you have the pop-out keyboard in the dash?

The Premium BT needs an rSAP phone, which only Nokia make. I've managed to get my wife's Galaxy S2 to pair sometimes, but not consistently. My daughter's won't, no matter how long I tried. It all seems to depend on which OS and firmware you have on the phone, maybe also which carrier SIM you have. Frankly, it's a complete lottery.

Even my Nokia can be a bit tempremental if another phone has been connected since it was last paired.

No I haven't pop-out board only some holder and this unit under the seat. Car has RNS 310 radio unit! Connection is not possible, i can see bluetooth unit after I will make visible using VCDS but not to pair with my Samsung Galaxy S2!

Make sure that you enable any remote sim access mode on your phone but as Teflon says it depends on what you have installed in the car. The usual Premium phone kit options are shown in the dash display (for full MFD) but I have seen many reports of issues with Samsung phones in particular.

I don't know if this phone kit is Premium or not, I have full MFD but no option about phone shows on display! My car has some phone holder in dash and 3C0 035 729 E under passenger seat.

From your description it sounds like you have the BT kit that preceeded the Premium Bluetooth Kit that is such a pain in the bum.

Different cradles were available for popular phones but they were expensive and haven't been available for newer phones for yonks. This unit didn't need an rSAP phone, so in theory you could get a Samsung or even a iPhone working. IIRC there was a bluetooth module available that fitted into a cradle and would give you access to anything that you couldn't plug in directly. Even if I'm right I doubt that the doodad is available today.

I've looked to see if I have a 2006 brochure or pricelist in my collection to find some more info, but unfortunately not. You might try asking if anyone has an original handbook available. Failing that, your best bet might be to cut your losses, pull the plug and fit a Parrot or something similar.

You could change the BT module, remove the dash thing and fit a MFSW and have handsfree bluetooth

A late Christmas present to yourself?
