Audi A4 B6 NO Power to drivers door. HELP !

a4 b6 avant NO POWER TO DRIVERS DOOR ?!? HELP !!
Hi all im new to the site and new to audis just wondered if anyone can help ?

Im having trouble with my a4 b6 drivers door there seems to be no power or little power to the door ? windows either side dont work and drivers door wont lock with remote ? no electric window lights or electic mirrors also not showing door is open on panel on clocks ? any info would be great !!

heres what i have already tried : wiring from door to car under rubber checked and there was a few wires broken ( brown and green ones ) so ive had them soldered and thought this would cure the problem but hasnt ? it has brought the power back to the floodlight in the door and the alarm led on top of the door card flashes now but also doesnt go off when driving ? but still no power to anything else !

- Checked all fuses and all ok ?

loosing the will to live !!!! PLEASE HELP !

You said you checked the wires,but did you check through the hinge rubber gaiter right through to the inside,doing a continuity test,the wires break inside,not obvious from the outside,also check under the carpet passenger side carpet for damp.

I had the same problem i ended up replacing the loom about £100 from audi. someone had tried to repair it before.

Hi thanks for the reply I pulled the rubber gaiter right back to where the shrink wrap is and found some broken wires and soldered them it brought back power to floodlight in door and led alarm on top of door ? Is that the comfort module under passenger seat ? Thanks

Hi dan thanks for the info did you have any power at all ? Ie. speaker , floodlight , led alarm ? Just wondering whether it could be some else ? Very annoying not having any windows ! Thanks Louie

Did you try pulling the door plug out. Mine had rotten pins in connector itself.

I had power to some of the door at first then it all failed there were only about two wires that had not broke. i checked the whole system and it was the door loom as the wires flexed as the door opened and closed they made and broke contact. A new door loom was the only fix. the door connector was fine.

Strip out the door card to investigate properly. Does make you wonder how the wires were broken in the first place? There's a hidden screw behind the plastic trim in the door handle. A multimeter is invaluable to check continuity signal.

Thanks for everyone's help problem solved the issue was the loom it had 2 split wires further into loom so before you buy any parts do a continuity test on loom ! Thanks again !
