Apologies if asked before, i could find in a search.

Has anyone found a list of the current phones available which have rsap enabled so are compatible with the new A6?

I fancy an iPhone but obviously its not an option in this case.

Had a look in a few shops this week, staff had never heard of rsap, phone specs mention screen size and camera spec, nothing useful like battery life etc. Some of the large screen new ones like the galaxy S3 are almost as big as an ipad! ridiculous.

    Thanks

    Why not the iPhone?

The iPhone supports phone book access profile, which would allow you to do everything you would need to do via the steering controls or whatever car controls (while driving anyway).

I did find this link on the Audi site, but its flash based so don't know what it actually says

    Tested mobile devices

    Hope this helps

The iPhone doesn't allow the online data service the phone prep high uses as the iPhone doesn't have rsap - prep high incorperates google maps etc for the new cars.

There's a massive thread on this issue!

I see. Thanks for the info. Well fingers crossed that apple will be forced to add rsap bt profiles, however it'll probably end up costing a premium to the user if they want to use it, iPhone tethering anyone? Not using an iPhone=free tethering. Bonkers.

Oh, and sorry for missing the thread, not managed to lurk on here recently. No signal at my new job location :/

Samsung are about to launch the S3 Mini. The size might be more to your liking robbyg. I cannot see why it wouldn't run exactly the same Android version as the full sized S3 but I will try and get my hands on one and test it.

UPDATE: Tried the S3 Mini and it only advertised Handsfree profile, so no rSAP support natively at this point it would seem . It was running Android version 4.1.1.

Samsung S2 will also support rSAP once upgraded to JB. Of course the Samsung S3 also works. Also by the way older Nokia phones (such as the n95) supports rSAP.

Some of the phone from HTC can also support rSAP - but you will need to buy an app to make it work

As was stated before this is a long thread on this topic alrady

Strictly speaking, Samsung S2 with 4.0.4 and above supports rSAP

Is anyone successfully RSAPing with a blackberry torch 9810 or bold 9900? Blackberry site only lists the torch as SAP, no mention on the bold.

Probably about to get one. If so, hows the batter life / reliability?

    thanks

hi, i have a blackberry 9780 i think, the most modern bold through work (despite me saying dont get me anything until i check it works with my car!) and it doesnt even pick up in the car. previous blackberry worked fine, but wouldnt accept the data connection.

I am trying to organise another one through work, could get the samsung s2 as that seems to work, but i had hoped that the s3 mini would be ok but will have to check it has rsap which is a bit concerning.
