Audi A3 2.0 TDI Sportback Black Edition

Hi all,

New to the site and first post.

I'm currently brousing the net for Audi A3 2.0 TDI Sportback Black Edition, 2009/2010 models.

I'd be wanting the mileage to be less than 100k so 50k-90k. What would I want to be looking out for when viewing the SH for this type of mileage? Replaced clutch, flywheel, etc?

These are a few that I have on my saved list. TDI 170 Quattro TDI 170 TDI 140 TDI 170 Quattro Red (maybe out of my price range) etc....

Any help/advice on the different type TDI's would be appreciated.

2009/10 you'll be well into the CR (common rail) engines which are better and more reliable than the PD (pump deuse) they replaced.

clutch and flywheel id be expecting to get at least 100k out of it but you will know if you feel any juddering if you test drive one.

Just make sure it has a full Audi History and do a HPI report before even contemplating to go and view and of course if it drives 100% with good power delivery you should be alright.

Cheers Chris, I'll definitely do my checks before I view and buy. Autotrader.co.uk is the best website to view used cars? Maybe eBay? Any other ones?

Audi themselves, auto trader, eBay motors, pistonheads and as a last resort gumtree.

Also in the north you have used cars ni, utv drive, Belfast telegraph cars.

The auld man said to me that I should look on the BCA page, he has bought a few cars in the past from there. There are a few on there, does anyone know what money the Black Editions go for in then auctions? I can't get on the Live Online because I'm not a dealer. Have rang a few dealers that advertise them on autotrader, they don't last long on the forecourt!

Purchased a 140TDI 3 door BE for wifey a few weeks back and it is a great little car.
It was spec'd up well and the engine is a little peach with 60+ mpg a breeze.

Good luck with the search and sure even a 140 would impress

I am off Monday to pick up a 177 BE A5 coupe and it will be interesting to see how that will sit regarding the MPG.
