    Hi all

Thanks in advance for you help.

I have just purchased an Audi A6 2005 with the MMi 2G unit.

It has a Audi Bluetooth phone already in the center arm rest but I want to use to my iPhone via Bluetooth.

I can see the Bluetooth settings on the dashboard but don't see how to enable it to be discoverable.
Ive searched high and low online but come up with nothing.

My phone searches but doesn't find anything.

I have the latest 5570 update disc but have not yet run these yet,do i need to?

Can anyone provide me some pointer please.

    Greatly appreciated

    Dave

Press TEL then SETUP and see if it allows you to search for your phone.

I think you may have the factory fit "Motorola" handset cradle... from what I've read the bluetooth only link to the "Motorola" handset...

Link:- A6 MMI and Bluetooth Phone

Maybe you can post some photos?

If "Motorola" setup cradle will be to the right in armrest compartment...

Damn I think you are right.
Seems a shame being the Bluetooth option is there.

Are there swap out modules to replace the complete Motorola setup with a standard Audi Bluetooth kit that will work with the MMi

it could be that you can change the setting in the BT module with VCDS, I have done this on my precious VW Touareg. Just had to change one setting similar to

    0 - handsfree over BT
1 - handsfree only with mobile in cradle

Thats something I will look in to.
I am trying t run the update to the latest 5570 version.

Instructions say to hold down return and setup to access the update software option.
    that never happens on mine.

Is there a different method to access the software update?
Also is VCDS Vagcom, I have this and the cable from a previous VW passat I owned.

Press RADIO first then do the SETUP + RETURN for a few seconds.

Might take a few times to get the timing correct.

vcds is the new name and dependant on the year of your old passat the cable may not work as times have gone on and new technology has been used.
